Join Our Volunteer Community at the Benicia Public Library!
The Benicia Public Library is always seeking passionate adult volunteers who can dedicate just two hours per week regularly. Volunteering with us is a wonderful way to build connections, share your skills, and give back to our vibrant Benicia community. Whether you want to assist with community services, support our library programs, or help others learn, we have a place for you!
Explore Our Volunteer Opportunities
Your application can open doors to several dedicated volunteer pathways across the Library:
- Adult Library Volunteers: Assist with core Library operations and daily community services.
Friends of the Benicia Public Library: Join a team of roughly 60 active volunteers who host the monthly Book Sales and Donation Saturdays. This team works primarily in the Library’s basement, is social, and requires much less of a commitment than an Adult Library Volunteer. Literacy & ESL Aides: Partner with our Literacy Team to support English language learners and adult learners. You can learn more and find contact information on this page for Literacy Services, here.
Community Center: Assist with programs of all ages, interests and skills. You can find a phone number and a contact email on their website.
