AT THE BENICIA PUBLIC LIBRARY, TEENS CAN:

Special events for Teens

Teen zone

The TeenZone is a place just for teens! From ages 13 to 19, you can find great books just right for you! Here is a list of some of the great things the TeenZone has in its collection:

  • Fiction (science fiction, fantasy, horror, dystopian, short stories, historical and more!)
  • Nonfiction (health, cookbooks, religions, true crime, poetry, history and more!)
  • Audiobooks
  • Series Fiction
  • Graphic Novels, Manga and Comics
  • Board games to play in the Teen Zone

Check out the special displays highlighting new books or exceptional books! (And btw, the Teen Librarian gets a lot of ideas of what to buy from the teens themselves! If you have a great idea for something the Teen Zone should own, contact aangell@ci.benicia.ca.us !)

REFERENCE AND INFORMATION:

Have a question? Need an answer? That’s what the library is here for. You can call the Reference Desk on the phone (707) 746-4343, or come to the Public Services Desk and ask a librarian in person or text us. Whether it’s research for homework, a personal problem, or just for fun, a children’s librarian can help you find what you need.

READER ADVISORY:

Not sure what to read next? Having trouble finding a book you like? Let the youth services librarian help! She is an expert in teen literature, she understands teens, and she is always happy to suggest something. Or look at one of the Library’s lists of recommended books, and maybe you’ll see something you like there.

PROGRAMMING:

The children’s librarian provides a wide variety of children’s programs to promote reading, teach a love of books, and encourage kids and their families to come to the library. Take a look at the list of Special Events and Programs for Teens to find out what’s happening at the library!
