Community Bulletin Board

The Community Bulletin Board is located on the wall across from the public restrooms. The purpose of the Community Bulletin Board is to provide a centralized location for all types of community information. Conditions of use:

1. Items are posted on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Items must be attached by the public with materials provided by the person posting.
3. Items must be dated when posted. Items not dated are subject to removal. Items will remain posted for a maximum of 30 days.
4. Maximum size is limited to 11" by 17".
5. Items are displayed at owner's risk.
6. Obscene materials or those depicting illegal activities may not be displayed.
7. Materials must clearly state the source of the material or sponsoring agency.

Free Giveaway Materials

The Benicia Public Library has a limited amount of space to provide free giveaway materials to benefit our patrons. The purpose of such giveaway materials is to enlighten our patrons about educational and recreational opportunities, non-profit organizations, or cultural items that they may find of interest. Conditions of acceptance of free giveaway materials:

1. All materials must clearly state the sponsoring agency or organization.
2. The library can only accept a limited amount of giveaways and is unable to store an extra supply.
3. Items will be thrown away after the event or after a maximum of 30 days, unless Library staff decide to retain them for a longer period.

The final decision on what is appropriate and inappropriate for the Community Bulletin Board and free giveaway materials rests with the Library Director. The Benicia Library Board of Trustees does not necessarily endorse the content of material posted on the Community Bulletin Board or given out as free materials.
