The Benicia Public Library staff offers proctoring services to online and distance learners. Students must follow proper procedures required by the academic institution and do so in a timely fashion to ascertain if a librarian will be approved as a proctor. Additionally, the student is responsible to schedule exams within the time constraints of Library staff. At this time, weekend proctoring appointments are not available. The Board of Library Trustees of the Benicia Public Library has established the following policy for proctoring of exams in the Benicia Public Library:

PROCTORING OF EXAMS

Proctoring of exams, sometimes referred to as Test Proctoring, is a value-added service that requires staff time to make arrangements with the schools providing the exams and monitor students during testing.

Patrons may contact the Library to arrange for proctoring services.

Proctoring Fees

First three hours - $27.00

Additional hours - $5.00 each

Monitored Proctoring Fees

First three hours - $50.00

Additional hours - $10.00 each
