LAWYER ON THE LINE - CONSULTATION BY PHONE

Generally, two licensed lawyers volunteer their time on the second Thursday of the month. Consultations take place between 6-8PM on the telephone.

Sign up for a free 20-minute consultation during open registration. Registration opens eight days before that second Thursday (on a Wednesday) and closes at 10AM the Wednesday before the Thursday night event - unless otherwise noted. You can check our online calendar for the exact dates.

In-person registration, during Open Registration, is also an option for those without an email address.

To digitally register, complete the Hold Harmless Release Form for the Lawyer on the Line program via the DocuSign prompts. The hold harmless release must be returned by closing on the second Wednesday of the month. The "Hold Harmless Release Form" link is only live during open registration.

Once you receive the "SAVE A COPY OF YOUR DOCUMENT"  (image below), your request is complete.  A registration confirmation email will not be sent automatically.

Upon staff review, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Appointments are first-come, first-served as we receive the hold harmless paperwork for up to twelve available consultations.

Volunteer attorneys are available for up to a 20-minute consultation. Criminal case consultations will not be discussed.

Lawyer on the Line is held on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted.
