Primary Election Information

The California Primary Election will occur on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Ballot boxes will be available to drop off your ballot in the:

  • City Hall lobby, 250 East L Street, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm.
  • Pedrotti Ace Hardware, 830 Southampton Road, Monday - Saturday, 8 am - 7 pm;  Sunday, 9 am - 6 pm

In addition, voters may vote by mail, drop ballots off curbside at polling locations on election day or vote in person at polling locations. More info below.

4 methods to submit your vote:

NO-CONTACT VOTING

All voters will receive a vote by mail ballot and can vote safely and securely from home, mailing back the completed ballot at their convenience. The post office suggests you mail your ballot at least 7 days before election day and it starts October 11. Voting by mail will be safe, secure, and easy. There is a five-step ballot validation process for every ballot, ensuring only the voter who intended to vote has cast the ballot.

  • Ballots will be mailed to all voters the first week in October.

LIMITED-CONTACT VOTING

Using your vote by mail ballot, voters can return their completed ballot in one of 15 drop-off locations throughout the County, or at any polling place on Election Day.

Ballots can be dropped off at over 14 inside locations in Solano County.

  • In City Hall Lobby (right across from the Finance customer service window). Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm
  • Pedrotti Ace Hardware, 830 Southampton Road, Monday - Saturday, 8 am - 7 pm; Sunday 9 am - 6 pm

Ballots are picked up daily by the Solano County Registrar of Voters and are processed right away. You can track your ballot by registering at: BallotTrax.

Ballots can be dropped off at 10 Curbside Locations in Solano County (Stay in your car, hand ballot to pollworkers)

Voters can drop off ballots “Curbside” at 10 outside locations on November 3-8. Weekdays 8 am - 5 pm and Saturdays 7 am - 8 pm.
