Bridging Rights: Celebrating Ruby Bridges and the Right to Education

This program, titled "Bridging Rights: Celebrating Ruby Bridges and the Right to Education," will honor the legacy of Ruby Bridges by highlighting the importance of equal access to education.
Middle and high school students will participate by sharing powerful original poetry written in response to the prompt "Who deserves an American education?" Their creative expressions will showcase their perspectives on justice and equality.
Additionally, community members will share personal stories from the Civil Rights Era, providing historical context and inspiring reflection on the ongoing fight for educational rights.
This event aims to foster dialogue, inspire activism, and celebrate the enduring courage that paved the way for civil rights and equal education for all.
