EXHIBIT INFORMATION
CURRENT EXHIBIT
Get ready for Pieces of Us, an exhibit featuring local young artists! Art from Benicia High School Students is on display from April 18 through May 20. The reception will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30-8PM.
Pieces of Us is an art exhibition by the students of Benicia High School. These pieces were made by students grades 9-12 taking part in Art 1, Art 2, AP Studio Art, Sculpture, Ceramics, and Graphic Design. The over 60 student works are in a variety of mediums taught at Benicia High School, including clay, mixed media, digital, colored pencils, ink, and paint. The title "Pieces of Us" refers to the idea that each of these artworks shows a part of the artist who created it. Each artwork reflects a subject or idea that is important to the students and their world.

UPCOMING EXHIBIT
Signs in Nature, an exhibit featuring oil and acrylic paintings by Audrey Brown and Angela White will be on display from May 25 through June 25.
Signs of Nature explores how we find and create meaning in the natural world. Audrey Brown’s paintings suggest hidden paths and mysteries within the landscape, while Angela White’s mixed media works embed symbolic marks and objects. Together, the work sits at the intersection of observation and interpretation, where seeing becomes reading, and nature becomes a field of signs.
Sigil Creation Workshop with Gareth Branwyn
Sunday, June 14, 1-3pm
Explore the art of sigils, personal, abstract “magical marks" used to translate your intentions, ideas, or states of mind into a logo-like symbol. In this engaging hands-on workshop, author Gareth Branwyn will guide participants through a unique method of sigil creation using words, ancient planetary tables, and dice. Drawing on traditions from art, language, religion, and cultural history, the workshop invites you to engage your imagination and turn your intentions into meaningful visual forms. No experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.

"Support", by Angela White.
