Low Barometric Pressure Causing Headaches

The lowest barometric pressure recorded since they started recording in the 1800's was in 1916. Until today!  Benicia's barometric pressure is at 28.806 and dropping.  This is caused by thousands of miles of unstable cold air being slammed into the Bay Area from the Gulf of Alaska.  Everything is cold and wet and leaking and flooding.

And now there is a secondary effect.  It is causing headaches, sinus conditions, and aching joints.  You may not be getting sick, it may be the low pressure.

$1 Fine For Not Picking Up Your Holds

With the new year, it is time for a reminder about items left on our hold shelves past the 7-day expiration date.  If you do not pick up your items or let us know you no longer want them you will be charged $1.00 per item. The charge will show as a manual fine in your library account.

Last H1N1 Shot Clinic This Year

The Solano County Health Department has updated their link for clinics thoughout the county.  Check below but also go directly to the County's link for the most up to date information.  Additionally, the Deparment is now recommending that children age 6 months to 9 years should acquire a second H1N1 vaccination to increase protection.
